Daily Makeup Storage

I have been trying to find a place to store my daily makeup storage as i dont want to use just a makeup bag, SO i went into Home and Bargains down the Health and Beauty isle they sell acrylic storage, i had seen it a couple of times and this storage was £4.99 which is a bargain compared to muji storage which i also have.

This is my storage, in the front there is lipstick holders, where i hold a variety of different lipsticks in there. Then there is a thinner storage where i store my foundations and my brow pot and small blush, then there is a bigger section which i store my powders, bronzer, highlight and blush. Then i store Eye-shadow pallets in the back. Then there is a huge section on the right at the front which is big enough to store skincare. then in the back i store brushes, lip sicks, eyeliner, brows, mascara etc. If you are just started out with makeup this is a great way to store it or if like me you want easy access. So check out Home and Bargains if you want any acrylic storage.

A Makeup Brush Cleaner For £1?

I have always wanted tot try a makeup brush cleaner but they have always cost £5 and upwards. I went into Home and Bargains and was looking at the health and beauty section and this brush cleaner catched my eye and when it said £1 i wanted to buy it and try it out and its amazing.

This is a lovely brush cleaner i just apply a couple of sprays(depending on the size of my brush) and use a paper towel to get off the access and its dry within minutes. This would be great for someone who is using different colours on the eye or a Makeup artist, i have shown some brushes in the picture to show you can do any sized brush and get the same result. So pop down to your local Home and Bargains and look down the Health and Beauty isle and it should be there,

Battle of the Beauty Blenders

Beauty blenders have appeared in the beauty industry for around five years ,but which really is the best one? I have narrowed it down to two and you will be surprised by my thoughts, I have the original beauty blender and the Real Techniques complexion sponge.

I think the best on out of the two is the Real Techniques. The real technique one has a flat surface and then pointed at the bottom, where as the beauty blender is round and pointed at the top. I use the sponges damp and i think that the real techniques one feels a better sponge material,as i feel the beauty blender is a little bitty if that makes sense. When it comes to application, i feel the beauty blender takes up more product, and the other doesn't as much. Also the real techniques one cost around £5 and the beauty blender is £16. I wont be buying the beauty blender again i will use the real techniques one from now on,

GHD 32mm Curling Wand

I have watched a couple of Yotube videos and i looked at their curled hair and wondered what they were using and every time it was a GHD curling wand, the results of their hair was amazing, so i read some reviews and did my research and brought one, these do cost alot of money so i wanted to tell you my thoughts on this product.

There were plenty of different shapes, sets and barrels to choose from but i decided on the 32mm barrel soft curl tong with the limited edition set. This includes a roller bag and travel set(with heat protection mat), with no extra cost. So if you are looking to buy one get the set as it costs no more money.

This barrel is quite thick but because i have long hair and didn't want to create ringlets, this is my reason of choice. The wand is set to only one temperature which is 180 degrees which is a perfect temperature to hold the curl but not burn your hair. These do hold a curl but will drop after a certain
time, this is my experience. I do love these and make noises when turned on and off and when reached the correct temperature. The power button is under the clamp which is brilliant as on my old curling tongs i would be turning it off whilst curling my hair which is really annoying. So that aspect is great. Overall i love these i got these at discounted price so i think they were worth it, but they do retail at £120 so if you can justify the price tag then i recommend them.

Victoria Secret Body Sprays

After visiting a couple of Victoria Secret stores in the UK i loved the smell of the body sprays but they are not cheap. But when i went into Superdrug they sell them in there for £10 which isn't that bad.

I only have two of the fragrances which are Love Spell and Mango Temptation and sometimes you can get them on offer like £7.50 each or 2 for £15. Love spell is a lovely fresh smelling fragrance but quite strong for a mist, and is a mixture of cherry blossom and peach. Mango temptation is quite strong and can be worn as a fragrance and is fruity. Its a mixture of Mango nectar and hibiscus. I love both equally and when these are empty i would love to try others in the range.

New Benefit Brow Products

I have always loved Benefit brow products and they have now relaunched old packaging and alot of new products as Benefit are the Queen of Eyebrows. I have got all of these products in various magazines to try them out, the most one of the magazine cost was probably about £4.

The first product i got was the Goof Proof Brow Pencil in the shade 6, this is a little dark for me but it is a lovely brow pencil and it quite waxy, easy to apply and is in like diamond shape. They also did the sample in a shade 2 but you are unable to tell until you have got it home. This was from the Magazine Red.  The second one i got was the Ready set brow from the Magazine Marie Claire its a clear brow gel with a wand that evenly distributes the brow product and helps set the brows to stay all day, The final product is the gimme brow which i already tried in the old packaging but now have new shades i got the shade 5 from Company magazine which is £2. I love this product for when i dont have much time as it gives a fuller looking brow.

Everyday Makeup Routine

I have had a Break but i am back, I have been wanting to write a post about my daily makeup routine as it has changed over the past month as i have purchased quite a couple of new beauty products, so here is the post! All of the products will be listed below,

So for my foundation i have been using the Liz Earle sheer skin tint in Bare 01 i am loving this atm as my skin is very clear, which is great, good colour match and a lovely light coverage. My concealer of choice is the Collection lasting perfection in the shade 1 fair i have always loved this concealer and if i do have any breakouts it will cover them and last all day a classic in my eyes! My powder of choice is the Hourglass ambient lighting powder in Dim Light i love this powder and is a recent purchase, it gives a lovely luminous finish to the skin but also locks your foundation so it doesn't ware throughout the day. My bronzer is the Body Shop bronzer in warm glow 02 this is a dupe for the hourglass bronzer, this is a lovely shimmer bronzer and is great for the summer. My blusher of choice is the Mac mineralize skin finish in Northern Light this is again a lovely blush for the summer and is very subtle on the cheeks. My Highlighter is the Mac mineralize skin finish in Soft and Gentle i love this highlighter a lovely highlight and looks lovely for photos. My contour is the Maybelline Master contour in light 01 this is a lovely contour colour for fair skin tones and also has a matte highlight too. Its easy to blend and looks lovely. For my brows i have used the Anastasia dip brow in the shade medium brown, i brought this last month and i have never gone back to my old brow product since, i apply it with the Zoeva brow line brush to give that Instagram brow. To set the brows i have used a Benefit ready set brow gel i got from Marie Clare August issue for free, this has a lovely wand, easy to apply and keeps brows in shape all day. For eye shadow i have used every shade in the new Tanya Burr Enchanted Palette which is only £5.99 which is a bargain, great pigmentation and lovely colours. I have use Moonlit Walk all over the lid,Coca Plum from the middle of the eye outwards,Berry souffle all the way through the crease and finally Magic carpet in the outer crease. For mascara i use the Benefit Rollerlash, i have had this tester for months and its still going, it gives volume and length to the lashes. For eyeliner i have found a new discovery and its only £1 its the Makeup Gallery Black liquid liner from Poundland, i have never had an eyeliner as good as this, it stays black throughout the day and lasts all day. Finally for the Lips i am loving the Tanya Burr matte liquid lipstick in the shade Martha Moo. I love the formula and shade, lasts all day too!

Everything is featured except the lip shade.

Daily Skincare Routine

I have deiced to keep my skincare very basic, to ensure my skin doesn't get too irritated. So i stick to the basic Makeup remover,Exfoliator and Moisturizer and i will occasionally do a face mask.

The i first use a cleanser from Garnier oil infused cleansing water, this is great if you have dry or sensitive skin as it has a layer of oil, which will help remove makeup and dirt as well as moisturizing. The second item i use is the Superdrug deep action pore cleansing pads. It helps reduce the look of pores and spots and i mainly use this at night and then use my Body shop Vitamin E cream. To ensure my skin is moisturized, its lovely to use as a base for makeup or at night.

Tanya Burr Soft Luxe Collection Review

As soon as Tanya was giving sneak peaks of her new line i wanted it so on the launch day i ordered the two eye shadow palette and two of the Matte liquid lipsticks, i wanted to give you guys an honest review of them,

Starting with the eye shadow palettes, Birthday Suit is more of brown tones and Enchanted dream is more pinky/purple tones, out of the two i love Enchanted dream more as they are cool tones, but i still love both. Birthday suit (Rose gold packaging) Includes 4 shadows Marzipan which is a pink with gold shimmer,Toast a mid matte brown, coca sugar brown with a Silver sparkle and Soft truffle which is a matte dark brown. These shades are lovely and great for travelling as they both include a mirror in them. Enchanted Dream has Moonlit walk shimmery gold,Coca plum is a brown and has a slight shimmer to it,berry souffle is a cool toned burgundy, magic carpet which is a brown/ matte purple.

The two lip shades i got were Martha Moo and Rhubarb and Custard, these are not that nude on me but on a medium skin tone Martha Moo would be a nude, this is the only down side for fair skin tones like me. Martha moo is a rosy pink on me with a hint of nude, the formula is amazing and lasts all day, Rhubarb and Custard is too bright for me it is an intensely bright pink, which i am not into, on Tanya it looked more of a subtle bright pink rather than electric pink, So do bare this in mind if you have a fair skin tone.

Maybelline Superstay Gel Nail Varnish

My mum went into Poundland and spotted this, she was unaware that i have wanted to try these for ages but i just never have got round to picking some up.

I love the shade of this a typical nail colour of mine, which i wouldn't thought would be in Poundland as its such a wearable shade . This is the shade 16 Rose Attraction. Its a lovely rose brown shade with a slight sheen to it. The formula of this is lovely and dries very quick. It claims to last 7 days but i have had this nail varnish on for 3 days and its a little chipped, but i can brush passed this as it dries so quick. The brush shape fits your nail so well which i love as it makes it easy to apply to the nail and an even finish in just one swipe. I do want lots of colours and i would rate these a 8/10 just because they dont last 7 days on me.

Garnier Pure Active Anti Blemish Moisturizer.

When i had seen this in Anna Saccone video, as she is having outbreaks of spots, which i do and is so annoying, she featured some expensive products but some were affordable like this one.So i went to Asda and it was on offer from £8.99 to £3 which is less than half price.

This moisturizer is more of a blue gel and the texture is weird but it works really well,if you have open spots it does sting a little, but goes down after one minute, but this shows that it does work. I put this on last night with alot of open spots as i cant help but squeeze them which is naughty but they have reduce/gone which is really good as if i was to use other products they wouldn't go after the first application. The smell is quite like bacterial which is a good sign but could put some people off if it is too harsh for the skin. This is great for at night or under makeup as it is a gel texture it sticks to the foundation (if that makes any sense.) Overall this is a great moisturizer to tackle spots and is a great price if you can get it on offer like i did.

Anastasia Dip brow Pomade Medium Brown.

I ordered this as i love doing my brows, i never touched my brows but over the past two years it has become major. With all the hype over Anastasia brow products i wanted to try this one.

Picking the shade was difficult as i have blonde highlights, i dont want my brows to be too dark, in the end i went for the Medium Brown shade. But this shade is perfect for me not too dark. I love the consistency of this easy to work with and makes my brows look really full. These are not that easy to get hold of but can be brought of beauty bay. I would recommend this as it only cots £15 and would last you a very long time as you dont need to much.

Zoella Sweet Inspirations Body Mist Review

When Zoe said she was releasing a sweet scented range, i nearly screamed as i love sweet scents. The main focus of the scent is sweet macaroons. Which when i heard i didn't know if it would work. So when they came available on Superdrug and Feel Unique, i decided to just order the body mist, as i dont own a bath so a lot of the products wouldn't suit me. My order then came the other day and decided to review it for you.

So the packaging is lovely, people say that it is the best yet but i think if the colour scheme was copper/rose gold instead of gold i think it would have been better and fit with more of Zoe's style i think. I love the geometric print on the back, it adds a nice touch instead of just plain. It is a glass bottle like her others which can be a positive as well as a negative. But i do think that the Rose gold would have been better, but other than that the packaging is better than the other ranges. The smell of this is quite sweet and i agree with a lot of people that the scent is more deep and more adult like if that makes sense. It is quite sweet but not too in your face, so if you dont like sweet scents like Zoe doesn't you may like this so go and test it out as they are in larger Superdrug stores from TODAY. Although i went to my large Superdrug store on Friday and they were out then, very naughty Superdrug.

Oliver Bonas Alphabet A Makeup Bag

When i went to Birmingham i went into the Oliver Bonas shop in the station and brought this makeup bag as i love anything with my initials on. This costs £12.50 and i think its worth all of that the shape of the makeup bag is small and could carry your everyday essentials in there and more.

Oliver Bonas Alphabet Letter A Makeup Bag
I was surprised how much i could fit in here the shape when you open the bag gets bigger which i love, they also do a wash bag which is £19.50 and is huge so great for an overnight stay. They do the letters A-Z and the lovely bright green blue on the zip with the grey looks very tumblr and lovely. The material is lovely and high quality and on the inside the material is wipe able which is great if you have a makeup spillage.

NYX Taupe Blusher/Contour For Pale Skin

I have been waiting for about 3 years for NYX to come to the UK just to get this one product and to also try other products from the brand. Now NYX FINALLY has come to the UK you can get it at boots(selected stores or online) which is where i get them from. Although when it was launched this instantly sold out and i kept checking back for weeks and finally it came back in stock so i ordered 2.
NYX Taupe Blush/Contour

This is a very cool toned brown, it says that it is a blusher but is best known for contour for very fair and pale skin and i love it. At £5.50 this is an amazing contour. I find that even high end products are to tan or yellow toned and that contour colours manly cater for medium skin tones. The packaging is light and sleek with a lovely little bow on the opening, you get 4.5g of product which is okay. Its highly pigmented and easy to blend out if you apply to much, the other shades of blushes look gorgeous and would love to try out more. Overall this is a great product for fair or pale skin tones as a contour or could be used as an eye shadow or brow powder a very multi use product.

Nivea Post Shave Balm As A Primer?

You may be thinking why am i writing a post about a mens shaving balm, but from watching a variety of different youtube videos they say it is good as a primer for your makeup, after i had discovered this i instantly wanted to buy it to try this out as some say its better than there high end primers. So i went to Superdrug where it was on offer for half price which meant it cost £2.63 which is a bargain, so i got 2 and boy i wasn't disappointed.

The Nivea Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm is one of the best primers i have tried, the formula is very runny and not very silicone like. It comes in a glass bottle and for £2.63 that is very good. The packaging is very pleasing and the shape of the bottle easily fits into your hand. The only downside to the glass as it is heavy and wouldn't be very good for travelling, but you could decant this into a plastic container. The smell of this is quite manly but when on your skin and the makeup is applied the smell goes away, tbh i really do like the scent anyway. It makes my makeup last all day and look flawless on the skin.If you are looking for a primer that reduces pores this might not be the one for you, it does reduce some pores but not all. I wasn't expecting it to as this is not it was designed for. So overall i would highly recommend you try this Primer, really affordable and makes you makeup last longer.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

I brought this off eBay(new) and im not impressed with it at all. I love all of the Nars products i own and when hearing Youtubers bang on about it, i wanted to try it but didn't want to pay £22.50.

I don't like the consistency of this its very thick but quite patchy when i apply this to my under eye area. I do love the packaging but the product is terrible. I feel there are better concealers in the drugstore such as the Collection lasting perfection concealer. I just think that from Nars i would expect better. The shade i have is Chantilly which is the lightest and is a very good colour match which in a lot of drugstore ones are too dark or yellow toned. So overall i would avoid this if you are dry under the eye, i cant say for everyone, but some people love this and i am one that doesn't(i really wanted to like this but i have come to the conclusion i don't)

Makeup Revolution Radiant Highlighting Powders Review

I came across a video about these and saying that they were dupes for the Hourglass ambient lighting powders which look amazing but cost over £30 and these cost £3 YES AMAZING RIGHT? So i ordered them off of Superdrug and tried them and i have now become obsessed.

These are really highly pigmented they could be used all over the face or as a subtle highlight on the top off the cheekbones, they sell some of the shades in individuals for £3 or as a trio in palette for £8. The shades i own are Breathe and Glow. Breathe is the one i use all over the face and glow as a bronzer. These make my skin look lovely and healthy glow. I wouldn't recommend for oily skin for an all over face powder unless you use a matte powder first. I dont own the Hourglass ones but from looking at swatches and comparison videos i would say they are the closest dupes currently at the drugstore. Trying to get hold of these is really difficult but Superdrug offer a back in stock notification just add you email address and they will send you an email when your item is back in stock amazing.

NEW L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation Review UK

When i had seen an advert for this i instantly wanted to try it out,as it said it is a medium coverage but is build-able. So i ordered it online at Superdrug for £9.99 on an introductory offer (will be £14.99).

This foundation is amazing and one of my favorites from the drugstore, it leaves a lovely dewy finish to the skin and still lets my freckles show through(which i love). It comes with a variety of different shades i choose the lightest (Porcelain 1)as i am always the lightest shades especially in drugstore ones. I find the best way to apply this is by using my real techniques sponge or any sponge will do and dab it on. This is the first brand in the drugstore to release a cushion foundation and i hope others follow on to the trend, the packing is lovely and very tumblr. I think for £9.99 its great but i think £14.99 is a lot of money for a drugstore foundation. Other than the price it is a good foundation, might not be one for oily skin, but i have combination and love it.

NEW Maybelline Baby Lips Review

I had seen that Maybelline were bring out new baby lips and the first thing i noticed was the packaging and the scents of them so i went to Boots and Superdrug to pick them up and try them out!

(From left to right 17 Grapefruit Zing,20 Bubblegum Pop and 18 Blueberry Boom) These smell amazing especially the Blueberry, the pigmentation of the Grapefruit and Blueberry are amazing for a lip balm but the bubblegum one isn't as pigmented. My favorite is the Blueberry Boom as i love the scent and give off a lovely muted pink colour when on the lips,Grapefruit Zing is more of a shiny red, which i love and Bubblegum pink is a very pale pinky nude, which doesn't show that much on the lips. These are quite moisturizing bu not as moisturizing as the balmi lip balms which is to be expected as they have colour to them. These retail for £2.99 each and i think that is good and Maybelline is currently on buy one get one half price,so if your store has got them grab them before they sell out, i cant find these online unfortunately.
